Poverty is a global is a global problem that each nation wants to address the causes of poverty and equally distribute wealth and income among individuals. However, in my country the Philippines, despite higher growth rate of 6.8% in 2016, one of the fastest growing economy in Asia, the government still fails to translate this growth to inclusive growth (where the poorest of the poor also benefits from this gains). The pyramid distribution of wealth is still one exists, where the rich gets richer while the poor gets poorer. However, with the new administration planning to get tax reforms programs is just one of much needed reforms that could hopefully benefit majority (if not all) and infrastructure projects in the countryside might also change the life of the the majority (if not all).

RootProject, on the other hand also aims to address this problem across the globe by using cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency which was launched in 2009 with 16,581,762 BTC in circulation as of September 23, 2017 at a market cap of $60.09B. I expect using the CAGR above at the end of five years or by 2022 cryptocurrency market cap will be at $33.76B.

However, ICOs or crowdsales have also faced many challenges such as crowdsale scams and recent ICO banned from China (hopefully just temporary). As an investor, we really have to be keen in our investments in cryptocurrency by minimizing the risks while maximizing a high return of investment (ROI).
